SUZUKI: GSX-R1100L When I first started selling motorcycles in Japan the GSXR series was most prolific and sort after. One bike that was in the highest demand was the GSXR1100. In 1989 Suzuki upgraded the 1052cc engine to an 1127cc oil cooled producing 152hp from a standard bike. The overall look of the bike changed along with its frame. In 1990 this bike was introduced adding upside down forks. Very revolutionary at the time.
