After the great success of the Yoshimura X1 a tuned Hayabusa, they next eased all the learnt to produce a only a limited 50 units of the S1. Based on the nimbler GSXR1000 Yoshimura used nothing but the best it had to offer to produce a showcase bike which debuted in 2002. The units soon sold out.
